Can't record automation

I get this error message: "Error starting recording. Please close any open chrome browsers and try again. If the issue persists close and reopen the app"

I've closed all my other browsers and even reinstalled Taskmagic. But the problem persists.

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered a persistent issue with TaskMagic. Whenever I start a new automation or run a complete one, I get the error message: "Error starting recording. Please close any open Chrome browsers and try again. If the issue persists, close and reopen the app."

I've already reported this issue to the support team and followed all their suggestions, including reinstalling TaskMagic and testing it on different browsers and computers. Unfortunately, the error persists.

I've noticed that other users have been reporting the same error for about nine months, which is quite concerning. Despite this, the support team seems unable to identify or resolve the issue.

Has anyone found a workaround or solution to this problem? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, as we really want to make use of this platform but have been unable to get it to work.

Hi - I am getting this error message too :)

To help troubleshoot...

I installed (windows 11, Latest chrome, disabled all extensions)
The recording error message appears.
Rebooted.
Tried web and templates - got the same error with both.
Not sure what to do now - I only bought TM tonight, so it's "never worked" and so I can't roll back to another working install.

On my first install AVG quarantined the recorder and the player. so I did another reinstall - no win64 malware gen errors that time.... but still no joy the recorder error message coming up.
Please help - else I might have to do proper work like DIY around the house this weekend...
