Option to recapture only one step

I just lost a recorded automation because of a step,trying to update one step by recapturing it. I wish there was an option to filter results of a step, and the option that I could only recapture a certain step.

And the option of adding the newly recorded steps to that existing automation without actually deleting the previously recorded steps (before I presses recapture steps)
