Logic Branches

The current Filter setup is nice, but a way to take separate branches of automation steps based on a result/variable is important when it comes to enabling smarter automations that can adapt to different scenarios (i.e. - if not logged in, do these login steps first. If an element is not present on a page, do these steps first. etc.) This would work well with re-recording/adding recording to an existing project, and/or chaining projects together.

Sometimes there are multiple paths to complete the automation. E.g. I want to click on the first item in the list but this item might lead to different pages each time. So I'd like to be able to record different steps to continue after. E.g. click on the first item, then try X. If X fails, we're probably on a different page, so try Y instead.

Hey Lukas,

Is this doable now in your eyes with the filter updates? This should allow you to create an if/else condition

If a condition is met then proceed with the action. If the condition is not met then take a different action. Example: If a webpage contains a certain keyword then scrape data; if not, then switch URL variable.

Tomorrows update (09/13/2023)
will support filters allow if/else - chaining enough together will allow you to create any router system you want.

Will be adding support for multiple conditions in one steps so you can do and/or comparisons between multiple types of filters
I.e. is over 1000 and less than 5000

If you are on version 0.4.16+ you will see this when opening the filter menu

conditional paths, using AI to help with the analysis, is a must-have.

LORD

conditional logic sounds like a brilliant idea!
