Identify an element to click but DON'T click it in the recorder

I have had several occasions where I wanted to build an automation but not necessarily run it yet. Take for example an automation where I wanted to fill a form and identify the "submit" button but not click it as part of the recording, since doing so could mess stuff up in the system I am trying to set up. Maybe it is a "highlight element" step or something that can later be changed to a click step once I am ready to turn on the automation. that allows me to build the automation completely but don't mess up any of my other systems
